Sidai Collard Seeds – Southern Georgia

Southern Georgia Collard, known locally as sukuma wiki, is Kenya’s most widely consumed leafy vegetable. This open-pollinated variety produces large, dark-green, smooth leaves that are excellent for repeated cutting over an extended harvest period.

Key Features

  • Large, broad dark-green leaves with thick midribs
  • Suitable for multiple harvests over several months
  • High yield potential for both commercial and home gardens
  • Tolerant to common leaf diseases
  • Best performance in altitudes of 1000–2500 m above sea level

Planting Guide

Start seeds in a nursery bed. Transplant seedlings after 3–4 weeks at a spacing of 60 cm × 60 cm. Apply basal fertiliser at transplanting. Water consistently and harvest outer leaves regularly to encourage continued production.
