Nantes is the gold standard carrot variety for fresh market production in Kenya. It produces medium-length, cylindrical roots with a blunt tip, smooth skin and bright orange colour. Planting Guide
Sow directly into deep, well-loosened and stone-free soil. Sow seeds in rows 25–30 cm apart at a depth of 0.5–1 cm. Thin seedlings to 5–8 cm apart. Avoid waterlogging. Apply potassium-rich fertiliser for good root development. Harvest when roots reach desired size.
